CQC review of learning disability services

In June 2012, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) published the results of its review of learning disability services, looking at 150 NHS, private care and social care services.

The review found that almost half were not meeting government standards.

Key findings include that many failings are a direct result of care that is not centred on the individual or tailored to their needs.
