In April 2015, many organisations responded to reports that more than 1,700 people are thought to have died this year attempting to cross the Mediterranean in unsafe conditions.
The Protection Gap campaign is based on the idea that women seeking asylum should have the same rights as other women.
The project is designed to respond to new developments in the migration debate in the UK that occur as the research takes place between 2013 and June 2015.
The ‘I am an Immigrant’ Poster campaign organisers are urging people to spread the word and support the campaign.
The Birmingham Declaration is a commitment to make Britain ‘a safe place for those fleeing persecution and a welcoming place for all people who come here to study, work or join family and who will work alongside us to build a just and fair society’.
