British LGBT+ people still feel the need to lie about their sexuality

A poll of more than 1,000 LGBT+ people commissioned by Pride in London and published in June 2016 finds that a majority of the LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community feel the need to lie about their gender or sexual identity. Asked how they felt about discussing their private lives in public, of those surveyed, 74% said they felt the need to hide their sexual orientation or gender identity.
