An Independent Review of the Work Capability Assessment – year five

In November 2014 Dr Paul Litchfield released the fifth, and final, independent review of the Work Capability Assessment (WCA), as established by the Welfare Reform Act 2007. This is the second review carried out by Dr Litchfield, the three previous reviews being carried out by Professor Malcolm Harrington.

This review reports the impact and outcomes of the Work Capacity Assessment (WCA) since its introduction in 2007.
