Age UK report: Hidden in Plain Sight – the unmet mental health needs of older people

Age UK published their report, ‘Hidden in Plain Sight – the unmet mental health needs of older people‘, in October 2016.

Using data from 55 mental health trusts as well as 130 clinical commissioning groups in England, this report shows that current provision of support is insufficient for both the needs at present and in the face of a rapidly ageing society. It also puts forward key recommendations for NHS commissioners and providers to improve outcomes for older people living with mental health problems.
